Trace Minerals, a popular brand of trace mineral supplements and liquid magnesium in America, has teamed up with Innovative Live Sciences, LLC (ILS) to establish a 70,000-square-foot gummy manufacturing facility in McKinney, Texas. This partnership will enable Trace Minerals to create its own unique gummy products and offer custom manufacturing services to other brands. This business venture is rare in the gummy manufacturing industry and is expected to be highly successful.
“Most companies who want to add gummies to their product line are being pigeon-holed into buying a stock formula from a large manufacturer either in the U.S. or overseas,” said Matt Kilts, CEO of Trace Minerals. “One of the key strategies of our business is to offer brands the ability to manufacture their unique formulas at lower quantities so they can stand out from a crowded segment in the market. The niche we’re ultimately offering them is differentiation and innovation.”
It has been noted by Kilts that many of the multivitamin and mineral gummy supplements sold in popular retailers are made by ILS. This means that companies looking to enter the gummy market have a variety of options to choose from, including unique formulas for immunity, sleep, hydration, brain, and beauty. The global gummy vitamins market has grown to $6.47 billion in 2022, and is expected to reach $10.3 billion by 2027, according to a market report by The Business Research Company. This demonstrates that the industry is currently thriving and is expected to continue to grow in the years to come. Kilts said this is because gummies are the ideal delivery system “for everyone from children to the elderly who often have a hard time swallowing pills, capsules, and tablets. Plus, almost everyone loves gummies.”
