At the 27th Annual Sustainable Quality Awards, Shore Hotel was awarded the grand prize for their sustainable efforts. Jon Farzam, who leads the hotel, accepted the award on their behalf at the ceremony held on April 26, 2023, at the Annenberg Community Beach House in Santa Monica. The awards were presented by the City of Santa Monica and Sustainable Works to recognize local businesses that implement sustainable practices in their operations.
Shore Hotel was one of two grand prize winners and recognized for their comprehensive approach to reducing their carbon footprint and promoting sustainable transportation solutions. They have exceeded California’s minimum energy performance standards by 21%. Despite their eco-conscious efforts, Shore Hotel does not compromise on luxury and ensures that every guest has a wonderful stay.
The Sustainable Quality Awards are given to Santa Monica businesses that demonstrate sustainable economic development, social responsibility, and stewardship of the environment. In addition to the grand prize, two excellence awards were also given to outstanding achievements in any of these categories.
