After receiving free eye exams and glasses at a local vision clinic, children and adults in Philadelphia were able to see faces of neighbors, words on street signs, and all other things with clarity. The clinic was organized by the North America affiliate of the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation, which is the leading global vision care foundation, along with its partner Aetna, a CVS Health company. The event was held in September at Philadelphia Housing Authority and helped address the unresolved vision problems of 397 youth and adults who may have otherwise lacked access to eye exams and glasses. The clinic utilized OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation’s proven clinic model and manufacturing capabilities, allowing most participants in need of glasses to receive their newly prescribed, quality eyewear on-site. There was a team comprising Foundation, Aetna, and EssilorLuxottica personnel who helped staff the clinic.
