Arden Home Health and Hospice announced the grand opening of its new corporate headquarters in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This milestone marks an important step in the company’s continued growth and success. The celebration took place on Friday, November 1, 2024, and included a ribbon-cutting ceremony in collaboration with the Area Development Partnership (ADP).
Under the leadership of Founder and CEO Abb Payne, Arden has experienced tremendous growth, having doubled the size of its workforce in just 11 short months. Payne emphasized the importance of this expansion, particularly for South Mississippi: “The opening of our Hattiesburg headquarters is more than just a brick-and-mortar event; it symbolizes a year of incredible growth and success. Our family’s goal has always been to keep jobs in South Mississippi, and this new office represents our commitment to this region.”
The recent celebration marked both the opening of the headquarters and the first anniversary of Arden’s swift expansion following the acquisition of Solace, Unity, Hospice Ministries, and Mid-Delta Home Health. Since November 1, 2023, Arden has proudly catered to nearly 1,400 patients and their families, showcasing its commitment to delivering compassionate and personalized care. The groundwork for the Payne family’s enduring legacy of excellence was laid over 50 years ago when Abb’s father, W.A. Payne, Jr.—a trailblazer in Mississippi’s home health sector—established Camellia Home Health and Hospice in 1974.
Today, Arden offers vital home health and hospice services across Mississippi and parts of Tennessee. Their offerings include skilled nursing, physical therapy, pain management, and end-of-life care. As the organization continues to grow, it ensures that patients receive the high-quality, compassionate care they deserve while also making a positive impact on the local economy through job creation.
“We are proud of the role we play in our community, and the support from the ADP has been integral to our success,” added Payne. “This new headquarters is a testament to our commitment to South Mississippi and beyond.”
As the largest privately held home health and hospice provider in Mississippi, Arden’s new headquarters functions as a hub for its growing corporate operations. This reflects the company’s commitment to supporting its team—affectionately referred to as the “A-Team”—and the communities it serves.
