The World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition (WPCC) launched a new website on 1 November in four languages — English, French, Spanish and Italian — to make vital information about the symptoms and risks of this devastating disease more globally accessible.
“Launching the new multi-language website on 1st of November was our way of creating maximum impact on the first day of pancreatic cancer awareness month which takes place each November,” said Jenny Isaacson, VP Stewardship and Partnerships at PanCAN and WPCC project lead. “In addition to evergreen data, key messages and other support that has been compiled by the Coalition over the past 7 years, the new website also provides downloadable creative assets to help increase global awareness for World Pancreatic Cancer Day on 17 November.”
Perhaps the most important website upgrade is the global directory of all World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition members that features detailed information including location, services provided and direct contact information. The 2022 World Pancreatic Cancer Day campaign will again focus on the importance of ‘time.’ This year, “It’s About Time” highlights early detection and early action — encouraging anyone experiencing symptoms of pancreatic cancer for more than a couple weeks to reach out to a healthcare provider or Coalition member for further support.
